With the constantly evolving news of the spread of COVID-19, the health of staff and clients at Mercantile Barristers is paramount. We are monitoring all developments and following the government’s guidance to ensure that we can limit any possible impact of the virus.
We are still open for business, and all our barristers and administrative team are fully able to service all our existing and prospective clients. Below is an update as to how our working practices have evolved to cope with current pandemic.
Our Staff
Our staff have all been encouraged to work from home, with most of Chambers’ services still fully functional remotely.
Chambers Premises
Chambers has undergone a certified defogging clean, and is regularly cleaned thoroughly. No more than a handful of members of Chambers attends the premises at any given time, and public transport is not taken upon travelling to Chambers in order to minimise the risk of infection.
Current Clients
Current clients can still contact Chambers by telephone and email and as a general rule, an e-mail to the barrister’s clerk handling your matter is the best way to contact us.
New and Prospective Clients
Please feel free to contact Chambers with any enquiries using the form on our website, call us on 020 3 034 0077 or email us at clerks@mercantilebarristers.com. Further, all consultations with our barristers will be conducted via telephone and/or video conferencing in order to minimise the spread of infection.
