As Chambers Director, Dan plays a key role in the strategic development and Practice Management of chambers. Dan is responsible for building and maintaining client relations, delivering a unique personal service to solicitors, professionals consultants, agents and clients whilst being on hand to provide commercially competitive fee quotes for both advisory and advocacy work.
Dan graduated with a Law degree in 2007 before commencing his professional career. He has first-hand experience of the High Court System, leading London law firms and of barristers chambers, having worked in all three sectors since graduating. Dan has gained valuable experience of several legal practice areas whilst clerking at award winning barristers’ chambers including Doughty Street Chambers, Atkin Chambers and Tanfield Chambers.
Dan sat on the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks Management Committee between 2013-2015, where he also sat as Chairman of the Junior Clerks Committee between 2013-2014. Dan is enthusiastic about building new relationships within the legal profession. In June 2014 he was part of a panel at the Institute of Barristers Clerks Annual Conference held in Leeds, at which he delivered an address on ‘Business Development and Networking within the Legal Industry’. Dan is also a member of the London Young Lawyers group, where he has a good long standing relationship with their management committee”
Dan left Tanfield Chambers in January 2015, where he was part of the Practice Management team who were shortlisted by Chambers and Partners for Client Service set of the year. Dan is now Chambers Director of Mercantile Barristers, a newly established barristers set which specialise in delivering legal expertise across the commercial sector, to businesses and professionals.
